Activity Tips:
During the holidays, it’s easy to forget about physical activity. But remember, youth need at least 60 minutes of activity daily, and adults should aim for at least 30 minutes or 150 minutes a week of moderate activity. Here are some tips to keep moving during the holidays:
- Go outside for a family nature walk
- If it’s too cold, clean the house with some music-sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping counts as physical activity!
- Indoors, kids can create relay races, obstacle courses, or play hopscotch
- Try fun activities online. On Youtube type in Freeze Dance, Brain-Break or Music, Dance, Learning. Add the word Holiday for a holiday twist to get everyone moving!
Also, you can start your day with a quick 10-minute morning stretch to energize you for the day ahead.

Reminder: Always check with your doctor before starting any new exercise routine, and stop if you feel any discomfort.
