Our youth and Master Gardener Volunteers have been very busy this spring. We had great success harvesting strawberries, spinach, cabbage, beets, broccoli, romaine lettuce, cauliflower, turnips and carrots. Using our home-grown veggies, we nourished ourselves with frittatas, salads, walking tacos, carrot cake and many other goodies. photo of all the veggies the youth grew and picked from the garden The youth and volunteers have been busy seeding, up potting, planting and preparing and amending the soil for summer crops. They have also done a great job maintaining the Youth Botanical Garden and have added and upgraded the beds.

They also assembled Mother’s Day pots to take home to mom and continue to create amazing stepping stones.

April 24-27 was volunteer appreciation week. flyer to show thanks to our volunteers We celebrated our volunteers and thanked them for their service and commitment to teaching the youth about gardens.
