Brunswick County Activity Day

Brunswick County Activity Day is right around the corner! We are excited to announce our C.A.D. on Saturday, May 20th from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

What is County Activity Day? Great question!

C.A.D. is an event where 4-H youth (ages 5-18) get the opportunity to present a topic or talent of choice. A panel of judges will give constructive feedback and qualifying youth move on to District Activity Day at Lenoir Community College on June 16th.

To participate in County Activity Day, please follow the two steps below or on the poster:
1. Register your youth in 4-H Online
2. Sign-Up for Brunswick County Activity Day

Want to brush up on your Public Speaking Skills? We have the perfect for your youth! Public Speaking is one of the greatest skills to have in your toolbox. According to sociologist Andrew Zekeri (College Student Journal, 2004), oral communication skills were the number one skill that college graduates found useful in the business world. Why not start preparing now?!

We are holding a Public Speaking series every other Thursday evening beginning at 5:30 p.m. for youth ages 8-18 here at our office! Come and practice with us and fine tune your presentation skills. We would love to have you! This runs through May 18th.
