fungal leaf spots

September is the month we begin to get hints of Fall and start to think about what must be done in the garden. You will see an abundance of leaf spots on Dogwoods, Hydrangea, Redbuds and many others. These spots are fungal but not fatal. The plants are deciduous and will drop their leaves soon. You need only clean the leaves from the ground so that spring rains do not splash the fungal spores onto next year’s new spring foliage.
