Welcome to the Brunswick County Botanical Garden!
Located around the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Brunswick County Center, the Brunswick County Botanical Garden doubles as a place of enjoyment and education. The garden, maintained by our Extension Master Gardener℠ Volunteers and Extension Staff, serves as an educational demonstration garden showcasing the endless landscaping and hardscaping possibilities available for Brunswick County residents to duplicate at their homes.
Often referred to as a hidden gem on the Brunswick County Government Complex, the garden is multifunctional. Whether you are taking a walk, looking for landscape inspiration, seeking a quiet place to reflect, or hosting a celebration, there is a space in the garden for you! With 16 separate garden areas, boasting informational signs and plant labels, the garden utilizes plants suited for the USDA hardiness zone 8 that are known to thrive in the NC Coastal Plain to create the perfect backdrop for visitors. The garden even utilizes warm-season turfgrasses to display how the different varieties available to homeowners in southeastern coastal NC exist in residential landscapes.
