Hello Preschool teachers!
Angie Lawrence, EFNEP educator visited Piney Grove Head Start's Classroom, in person, to share about vegetables. Students used their imagination’s to make vegetable soup after reading the book “Growing Vegetable Soup.” This activity can be checked out at N.C. Cooperative Extension - Brunswick County Center by participating in our Pre School professional development classes.
Preschool qualify by completing 8.5 hours of hands on classes then receive .85 CEU’s, and are able to check activity boxes out with lessons discussed and learned in this professional development class. In addition parents, students and staff are connected to an amazing Community Resource, our local N.C. Cooperative Extension for other research based knowledge!
Mrs. Angie is currently working with Longwood Head Start, to certify their staff. These staff members will be able to model healthy living practices and receive access to tools for their classrooms.
