Homeschool families are invited to a special Garden to Table Activity Day at the N.C. Cooperative Extension – Brunswick County Center. The free program, hosted by the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), will take place                      September 30th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 25 Referendum Drive, Building N, Bolivia, NC.

The event is designed to help families explore the journey of food from the garden to the table through hands-on, interactive learning stations.

Activities include:
  • Garden-to-Table Scavenger Hunt – explore the Brunswick County Botanical Garden, discover plants, pollinators, and the journey from seed to table
  • Food Demo & Tasting – learn how to prepare a simple, healthy recipe with guidance from EFNEP and Extension Master Food Volunteers
  • Nutrition Games – become a label detective and play fun games that build smart food choices
“This is a wonderful opportunity for homeschool families to learn side by side, while having fun in the garden and kitchen,” said Angie Lawrence, EFNEP Nutrition Educator with N.C. Cooperative Extension – Brunswick County. “The activities are hands-on and engaging for all ages.”
