Families in Brunswick County are invited to participate in a free six-week wellness program offered through the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) at the Leland Library this fall.
Classes will run on Saturdays from October 4 through November 22, 10:00–11:30 AM at the Leland Library, 487 Village Rd NE, Leland, NC. The interactive sessions are designed to help families build healthier habits together through hands-on learning.
Each week, participants will:- Learn nutrition tips and meal planning strategies
- Prepare or taste a healthy recipe
- Stay active with fun activities
- Explore ways to save money on groceries
“This is a wonderful opportunity for parents, caregivers, and families to learn and grow together,” said Angie Lawrence, EFNEP Nutrition Educator with N.C. Cooperative Extension – Brunswick County. “Our goal is to make nutrition education practical, fun, and accessible for everyone.”
Who Can Join:- Adults with children in the home
- Teachers, preschool staff, and caregivers
- Families are welcome – youth ages 8–18 may participate alongside parents
