Did you know March is celebrated as National Nutrition Month®? This year is the 50th year of this campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) in 1973. The theme for 2023 is “Fuel for the Future.” This theme is focused on eating sustainably and nourishing ourselves during every phase of life.

One great resource for National Nutrition Month® is their “Eat Right: 20 Health Tips.” Read through the tips and find one or a few that resonate with you! Maybe you find some tips you think you’re already applying well in your own life. Are there any where you have room to grow?

Tip 9 is to drink more water and tip 14 is to reduce added sugars. If these are goals you have in your own life, try making this Strawberry Mint Water! Fruit infused water is a great way to support water intake. It also is a way to add flavor to a beverage without increasing the added sugar in our diets.

Tip: try making fruit infused water with other fruits. You can use around a cup of fruit per gallon of water and adjust to your preference. The longer you let this beverage chill in the refrigerator, the more flavor it will have.
