Pesticide Classes


According to Federal and North Carolina law, only certified pesticide applicators may use or supervise the use of restricted-use pesticides. To become certified, applicators must receive training and/or undergo testing to demonstrate that they are competent to handle and use restricted-use pesticides.  The North Carolina Department of Agriculture is the certifying agency in our state. Both private applicators and commercial applicators must become certified.


 July 21, 2011 beginning at 2:30pm and running until 5:00pm This class will provide 3 credits for “L”, “N”, “O”, “D”, and  “X” Licenses.

 August 17, 2011 beginning at 3:00pm and running until 5:00pm.  This class will provide 2 credits for the V License only (Private applicators)

 Both classes will be held at the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, Brunswick County Center, Training Center, Building “N” at the Brunswick County Government Complex.
